A modest family apartment in the city
Berlin currently has too few affordable apartments on offer. As the real estate market is moving towards exclusion of huge parts of the population, we jumped in to develop one not too big apartment for various purposes: an apartment share (“Wohngemeinschaft”), a family home (max. 1 kid), a couple’s apartment with home office – all possible uses of this apartment. With only 80 sqm on offer, we maximised the open living-room/kitchen and minimised bathroom and private spaces, incorporating en-suite solutions for sanitary spaces taken from hospitality design. Circulation is key to giving the small apartment a lavish feel of spaciousness, supported by French windows, stunning views and two outdoor spaces.
